    What does the care package include?
    The care package includes a Welcome Letter, Getting Started Guide, automatic blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, and thermometer. A monthly or annual subscription includes on-demand technology support and check-in calls for out-of-range readings.
    What type of support does the Vheda Friends & Family Program provide?

    The Vheda Friends & Family Program does not replace medical care, nor can Vheda Health diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or condition.  Members and caretakers should always seek the advice of a trusted medical professional as needed. Because our members’ doctors know the member’s full health history and medications, they are the best resource to guide medical care. Although Vheda Health does not provide medical advice, we do:

    • treat all our members like our own family
    • provide a check-in call in response to out-of-range device readings
    • help connect members to medical advice, such as calling their doctor’s office, health plan’s nurse triage hotline, or 911
    • guide members in how to use their devices
    • set customized reminders if patterns are identified that result in alerts (i.e. remember to take medications as prescribed)
    • assign in-app educational videos to empower members with knowledge

    How can members share their device readings with others?
    Within the Vheda app, members can tap the “Share My Data” icon to email or fax device readings to a family member, caretaker, or medical provider as needed. Members can also bring their phones to their medical appointments and show their doctors their readings in person. If members need support in learning how to use the “Share My Data” function, our Tech Support Team is just a phone call away at 1-877-843-3285! Because our members’ health data is private and protected information, it is the member’s choice if they would like to share their device readings with others.
    Who should members share their device readings with?
    Members will benefit from sharing their device readings with their medical providers and caretakers. By reviewing device data, medical providers and caretakers can identify trends, changes in health, and emerging care needs.
    How will I know if my loved one has an out-of-range reading?
    You will be able to review your loved one’s device readings by having them email or fax you the data through the app’s “Share My Data” button.  Red smiley faces indicate out-of-range readings. By reviewing a member’s data, a family member or medical provider can identify trends, changes in health, and emerging care needs. Because our members’ health data is private and protected information, it is the member’s choice if they would like to share their device readings with others.
    What happens if my loved one has an out-of-range reading?
    All devices readings automatically upload to the member’s phone with easy-to-understand feedback. Next to each reading is a green, yellow, or red smiley face. The red smiley face indicates an out-of-range reading and will be followed by a notification, letting the member know the reading was out-of-range. If taken within normal operating hours, an out-of-range reading will be followed by a call from the Vheda Support Team to check in and connect the member to their doctor or health plan’s nurse triage team. Because our members’ doctors know the member’s full health history and medications, they are the best resource to guide medical care. If the out-of-range reading is accompanied by severe signs or symptoms, our members will be connected to 911. Vheda Health does not provide medical care, but we do call to check-in, treat all our members like our own family, and ensure connection to medical guidance when indicated.
    How often should a member use their devices?
    While a member’s medical provider is the best to prescribe a minimum number of uses per week, members can benefit from taking device readings at least once per day and any time they are experiencing pain or discomfort. By reviewing device data, medical providers and caretakers can identify trends, changes in health, and emerging care needs.
    When will I be charged for my subscription?
    Monthly subscriptions will automatically renew each month, 30 days from the date of last payment. Upon request to cancel, the member will have access to the program 30 days from the date of last payment. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable and will be automatically renewed one year from date of purchase. Cancellation of an annual subscription will result in program termination on the last day of the subscription year.
    Who can I call if I have questions?

    If device or technology support is needed, members should call our tech support team at 1-877-843-3285 or tap the orange “Contact Us” button in the Vheda Health app. Tech support is available Monday – Friday from 8am-8pm EST.
