Shameet Luhar
Chief Executive Officer/Co-Founder, Board Member
Shameet Luhar is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Vheda Health, a population health company dedicated to empowering people with chronic conditions to live their best life. As CEO, Shameet drives the company’s vision, growth, and fundraising. Under Shameet’s leadership, Vheda Health has transformed itself into an industry leader, partnering with the nation’s largest government payors and self-funded employers.
Shameet is a health insurance industry veteran, holding various positions at Anthem, CareFirst, and Deloitte. Shameet was an early member of Resolution Health, a data analytics company purchased by Anthem. There Shameet was responsible for implementing care management programs for Anthem’s 33 million Commercial and Medicare members. Shameet’s work on the Medicare STARS Outbound Call program was recognized by URAC with a 2013 Gold Medal. At CareFirst, Shameet led a variety of member engagement initiatives, including the successful implementation of Maryland’s first personal health record system.
Shameet received his MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University and BS in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management from the University of Maryland – College Park.
Philip Rub
President/Co-Founder, Board Member
Philip Rub is President and co-founder of Vheda Health, responsible for operationalizing programs, reporting, and modeling that have been instrumental in delivering a greater than 3:1 ROI for health plan partners.
Prior to Vheda Health, Philip was at Resolution Health, a data analytics startup that was purchased by Anthem. There, he developed the essential facets of a clinical-evidence-based rules engine that integrated and analyzed numerous types of claims data to generate clear and actionable clinical alerts and intervention opportunities. At Anthem, his work focused on evaluating ROI for case and disease management programs touching more than 33 million insured lives.
Philip holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Maryland – College Park and BS in Information Systems from Mount St. Mary’s College.
Bradley Marks
Chief Client Officer
Bradley Marks serves as Chief Client Officer at Vheda Health, bringing nearly 20 years of health care experience. In this role, Bradley holds the responsibility for ensuring targeted growth for market dynamics, client needs and preferences while ultimately delivering on member satisfaction.
Previously, as the General Manager of Risk Adjustment Products at Inovalon, Bradley held the responsibility for planning, design, modeling, coordination and oversight of the retrospective risk adjustment solutions for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial risk adjustment products.
Prior to joining Inovalon, Bradley served as Vice President of HouseCalls Operations for the Medicare and Retirement division of UnitedHealthcare. In this role he led operational activities for both the prospective and retrospective functions. Prior to UnitedHealthcare’s acquisition of XLHealth in 2012, Bradley helped construct both the HouseCalls and Retrospective Review programs at XLHealth, leading the creation of operational functions for each program, including the scheduling and escalation center, project coordination, practitioner helpdesk, and travel, and supply management support. Bradley began his tenure at XLHealth as a Project Manager for disease management operations across several clients. Prior to XLHealth Bradley worked for Mid-Atlantic Health Plans and American WholeHealth, Inc.
Bill Henderson
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Bill Henderson serves as Vheda Health’s Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Bill is responsible for the development of sales strategies and strategic partnerships that increase top-line growth and membership. Bill is a proven team builder with a record for proving ROI & improved outcomes to partnerships.
Prior to Vheda Health, Bill spent 15 years at Liberty Dental Plan as their SVP of Business Development, growing sales to more than $900M and over 6 million members.
Thomas Verghese
Vice President, Analytics
Thomas Verghese serves as the Vice President of Analytics at Vheda Health. In his role, he is responsible for develop next generational analytical tools, enabling Vheda Health to consistently deliver the highest member engagement, compliance, and medical savings results in the industry.
With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Thomas has led teams focused on analytics, business intelligence, information structuring, and data trends to best understand the issues members are facing and recommend meaningful service improvements based on data.
Prior to joining Vheda Health, Thomas spent more than 10 years as the Director of Analytics at Anthem, responsible for building analytical models to quantify propensity for members to go into care, cost of care modeling, and population health models especially for Medicaid population and in the HEDIS domain
Thomas earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and an advanced master’s degree in information systems from Carnegie Mellon University. He resides in Maryland, is married and has four children.
Amy D’Domenicus
Vice President, Health Services
Amy D’Domenicus is the Vice President of Health Services at Vheda Health, responsible for leading day-to-day health coaching and clinical operations. Amy has a broad background as a healthcare clinician, bringing more than 25 years of experience in both private and public clinical settings.
Prior to joining Vheda Health, Amy was the Clinical Director for a multi-level outpatient practice with a focus on the Medicare and Medicaid population program reform and cost containment. Previous roles include Complex Care Manager, Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Coordinator for CareFirst. Amy’s hospital experience includes Emergency Room/Critical Care, Behavioral Health, Forensic Nursing, as well as Emergency Preparedness. She has been recognized for service excellence as a trained and proficient coach and local champion for the Patient Engagement Program (P.E.P) and Language of Caring.
Amy obtained her RN License, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Marcus Hayes
Director, Strategic Transformation
Marcus is Director of Strategic Transformation at Vheda Health, responsible for creating and managing workflows that result in maximum efficiencies across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Vheda Health, Marcus held various roles in healthcare spanning several disciplines, including compliance, customer service, and technology. These include serving as Regional Director for Conifer, Corporate Compliance Officer for KishHealth, Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt for nThrive and most recently as a Global Process Manager with McCormick where he worked on global projects to reduce lead times for new product launching while reducing risk associated with governmental compliance for US imports and exports.
Marcus is a Six Sigma Black Belt and graduate of Judson University in organization leadership.
He is a father of 3 – 1 daughter and 2 sons. When he is not working, Marcus enjoys teaching group fitness classes and taking Latin and Swing dance lessons.
Derek Robertson
Director, Member Experience
Derek Robertson is Director of Member Experience at Vheda Health. He is responsible for ensuring member satisfaction and program ease-of-use at every touchpoint of the Vheda Health platform. He also works hands-on with the software development team, spearheading technology and performance enhancements for clients and members.
Prior to Vheda Health, Derek was Vice President of Operations for a large hospitality business responsible for managing a call center of over 150 representatives, as well as broader company direction through the uniform establishment of key performance indicators and the implementation of a predictive customer service algorithm used to proactively identify customer needs.
Renee Allen
Client Relationship Manager
Renee Allen is Client Relationship Manager at Vheda Health, with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. In her role, Renee is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with government payers, ensuring the highest client service and delivery.
Renee has been active in healthcare since age 18. As a member of the United States Air Force, she led several projects organized by the United States Surgeon General, earning her strong distinction and accolades for her leadership. After more than 20 years, she continued her passion in healthcare, serving as a Client Liaison to Medical Directors across the state of Illinois. Working closely with the Governor’s and State Office, she partnered with medical facilities in need. In the role, she managed relationships with 34 hospitals in the greater Chicago area, contributing to the deployment of 14,600 frontline workers, to combat rising numbers in COVID hotspots.
